2017 Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Classic

The local forecast is starting to hint of freezing weather which means that preparations are underway for the 9th Annual Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Classic!  Nestled in along the bend of the Minnesota River,  Spring Lake Park in beautiful lower North Mankato will again play host to the annual event. The downtown location has proven to be a prime location for the pond hockey event.  Sitting along the river bluff provides shelter from the wind making the coldest winter day seem more like a walk in the park.  Ample parking, shelters & fishing pier make this small lake perfect host for pond hockey.  It has close proximity to hotels, bars & restaurants.  Saturday, Jan. 28 is our Adult pond hockey tournament and Sunday, Jan. 29 is our Youth Tournament.

Make a hockey weekend out of it and cross the river to the Verizon Center where the Minnesota State Mavericks take on Lake Superior State in WCHA action on Friday, Jan. 27 & Saturday, Jan. 29.
