Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have to make an adjustment to the Pond Hockey Classic schedule. All Saturday Adult play is rescheduled to play on Sunday. Adults and Youth will both play on Sunday and we are in the process of re-configuring the game schedules to allow for combined play on that day. Please share this information with all the members of your team. 

We plan to run the Sunday games every half hour with Adults and Youth teams alternating on the half hour. All games will consist of two ten minute periods with a 2-minute half-time rather than two 15 minute periods as in the past for Adults. 

Please allow for additional time to check in your teams on Sunday Morning. With the increased number of teams checking in, more time will be needed. ALL teams need to check-in at the Registration trailer before game time. Team Managers should bring signed waiver forms for ALL players and final payment if there is a balance due. 

We plan to start Youth games at 8:30 AM so plan to be at the Pond by 7:30 for Team check-in. Adult Games will start at 9:00, be to the Pond by 8:00 to check-in. National Anthem at 8:15. 

The fresh wet snow we received on Monday has created a large layer of slush on top of the ice. We have been working to clean that layer off the ice so it can set up properly. Unfortunately, we have been unsuccessful. The recent warm weather has not allowed the top layer of ice to refreeze to the point we can skate on it. We currently have standing water on the rinks and with the forecast, the rinks will not freeze hard enough to skate until late Saturday night. 

We believe these changes are necessary to provide you with the best Pond Hockey game day experience possible under the current weather conditions. 

IMPORTANT – for ADULT TEAMS 
We fully understand that schedules cannot easily be changed at the last minute. If you or a team member cannot make it Sunday, we ask that you try to substitute players as needed. Substitutions can be made Sunday morning at Team Check-in. Waiver forms will be required for all players and will be available at Check-in. 

PLEASE call or text Dan Sprague at (507) 380-2718 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to let us know if your team can or cannot make it on Sunday so we can finalize brackets and game schedules. If you send a text, please include your team name and a contact name and if you can or cannot make it. In the event, your team cannot make it Sunday, your registration fees will be credited to your next year registration. 

This decision was not made lightly as we recognize and appreciate all the undertakings that go into preparation to play in an event like this. Because of the current conditions, we feel this is the best course of action.
