Hope your calendars are marked for the 2023 Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Classic! Once again the Anthony Ford committee plans to make it an entire weekend full of events including an East/West alumni game, concert at the Mankato Brewery, and the two-day classic.

Saturday and Sunday, January 28- 29 will be the annual classic, adults on Saturday and youth games on Sunday. The event will take place in Spring Lake Park in lower North Mankato, which has been the events home for the last four years. Registration will be open soon.

The Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Classic kicks off on Saturday, January 28, 2023 with adult men & women action in 5 divisions of play on 12 professional pond hockey rinks, no goalies - modified nets.  Teams of maximum 6 players will play 3 v. 3 games. Please have your team registered by 8:00 am. Teams will play a 3 game minimum with elimination rounds in the afternoon. Food and refreshments are available in the hospitality area.  Following a great day of outdoor hockey, visit one of North Mankato's local establishments or venture across the river to the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center where the Minnesota State Mavericks take on Ferris State.

The Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Classic has a great tradition of hosting a youth outdoor pond hockey tournament.  On Sunday, January 29, 2023 Youth boys and girls will compete in appropriate levels of play.  Games are played on 12 professional pond hockey rinks, no goalies - modified nets.  Teams of 8 players per team will play 4 on 4 games.  Please have your team registered by 8:00 am. Teams will play a 3 game minimum with elimination games ending in the afternoon.  Food and Refreshments are available in the hospitality area.  Viewing available on pier. Sledding Hill for children.  Make it a weekend and catch a great college hockey game across the river at the Verizon Center where the Minnesota State Mavericks take on Ferris State.
